Cross Lane Projects presents a curated programme of contemporary exhibitions by local, international and British artists with accompanying talks and events. Exhibitions are held in Spring through to Autumn, including working alongside the Mark Tanner Sculpture Award and The Lakes International Comic Arts Festival.
The gallery does not represent artists but curates shows from invitation and submissions.
Since opening on 29 June 2018 with Female Trouble – Paula Rego & Rebecca Scott, we have been delighted with the response from visitors and press who have welcomed the “fresh new space” in Kendal. View a round-up of our opening media coverage here. In 2019, we were shortlisted as a Finalist (Venue) for the Cumbria Life Culture Awards.
Note: Cross Lane Projects is currently not taking any proposals or submissions due to temporary closure in UK lockdown.
Cross Lane Projects accepts submissions and proposals from artists and curators. The projects and exhibitions are collaborations with curators and artists. We do not represent artists. Please be patient for a response. We programme at least a year in advance but have short blocks of time that can be allotted for independent exhibitions.
For more information and/or to submit a proposal, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org, please write Gallery Submission Proposal in the subject line to the gallery manager.
Please note that Cross Lane Projects is independently funded and there is no production funding for independent exhibitions.
